Anyone else looking around like summer is HALF OVER already… how??? I sometimes tend to be a glass half empty gal. I don’t love that about myself but it’s true. So, here we are after the 4th and I’m feeling like summer’s already overrr. So not true but that’s how it sure feels. If you have kiddos I’m sure you get it. Time is so fast. I’m soaking up every sunny day, chasing sunsets, and all the little moments of summer I love so much.

We finally got headway on our dining room project. Furniture got delivered last month before our vacation, and I’m slowly finishing the styling. I’m so excited about this major designer dupe cabinet. This space has quickly become a favorite for me. I’m planning to incorporate decor pieces plus dinnerware, barware, and glassware in the cabinet so it’s beautiful and functional.

SNEAK preview: our next project is likely our primary bedroom. We had a horrible limewash mishap in the winter. The color was beautiful in the can. Not so beautiful on the wall, and makes our already small bedroom feel even smaller. Plus, with this I found I really do love bright and airy bedrooms for myself. I adore a moody bedroom moment but it doesn’t work for me personally. I need it to feel spa like, serene, calming. Because honestly, with three boys my life is anything but calm half the time 😉
And this is EXACTLY why I created my design studio built on this foundation – we always always design with a feeling FIRST. It matters so much!
